

Captain Zorikh, the host of the Big Apple Convention's costume contest, is an actor, artist, filmmaker, musical entertainer, and competitive swordfighter. He was most recently seen on the "Dragon Slayer" episode of discovery Channel's "Big Giant Swords." He has also appeared on multiple episodes of "Sci-Fi Science with Michio Kaku" and in the documentary "Jedi Junkies." He also starred in the award-winning "After the Apocalypse," which appeared in over 45 international film festivals.
Captain Zorikh has produced two documentaries about medieval armored combat groups and competed with USA Knights at the Battle of the Nations and the IMCF World Championships in Europe. His comedic sci-fi rockabilly band, the Death Star Repairmen, has appeared at clubs and conventions all over the NY metro area.
He is currently working on a research project titled "Captain Marvel Culture" about the history of the many Captain Marvels.

Captain Zorikh will keep the action moving but the true stars are you, the costume enthusiast who enter and the people who love them and cheer! Categories will be made up on the spot! Prizes will be distributed? Costume death matches and dance-offs are not unheard of! Register on the spot and strut your stuff! Dealers are welcome to submit prizes for promotional consideration!
