Konata Stallings is a mostly self taught artist with some formal university level training. His artistic influences include Graham Rounthwaite, and Masami Obari, his own style being an amalgam of fashion illustration and Japanese anime/manga. He began developing Factionalists (a tale of war between different races of supernatural beings), in 2003. As writer and lead artist on the project he uses and plays with chiaroscuro in the art and the prose of the story itself. Konata has had his art featured in Animerica magazine, hung at the Kenneth Chapman Gallery in Westchester, NY and has also worked as a freelance graphic illustrator.
